Green vegetables and blood orange on the nose. Blackberries, caramel and wet stone on the palate. Unfortunately, the tannins had dissipated and left the acidity to run the show, so despite the flavor profile, the wine felt very thin and weak in the mouth. I have had this wine 3 times in the past 4 months, 2 from the same case and none of the bottles had a wow moment. This wine may be past its peak.The history of chateau（酒庄历史）：庄园起始于16世纪，起初为Rostaing家族所有；几经易手，一直到1919年被Otto Woltner购买来。此后庄园的在其经营下，名声大噪。特别是他的儿子-Henri Woltner，这个被后世誉为“酿酒天才”的奇才，通过发明、采用最先进的酿造工艺，大大提升其产品的质量，让其产品逐渐成为传奇佳酿。因此长久以来，该酒一直成为跟同产区的1855列级名庄里1级庄的Chateau Haut Brion较劲的最大对手。然而，1974年，当这位天才过世后，由于其家族成员的纠纷，不得不将此庄园转手出售给Domaine Clarence Dillon家族-这个经营着一级名庄、它们最大的对手Chateau Haut Brion庄园的家族。虽然从那以后，整个Pessac Leognant的两大代表性名庄同时被一个家族所掌管，但是这2款佳酿仍然在继续着“暗斗”……直到今天，仍然在继续着。 |
